How do you create an Iphone App?

I’ve heard that people can create apps for the iphone to be used by the rest of the world. How would one go about doing that? Would they get paid and how much? Thank you!

You have to first purchase the SDK (software developers kit) from iTunes. It’s around $100. Developers get 70% of the revenue from the sales of their apps according to Apple.
