How do I create and get an Iphone app and get it onto the the app store?

I’ve come up with a create concept for an app for the iphone! but i’ve been told by a friend I cant use flash to create it? Whats the best thing to use to make my app?
Also I was wondering what stages I will need to take to get my application onto the app store? and how much will it cost?

You need to sign up to the developer network at developer.apple.com for iOS. This costs $99 a year (no matter what country), and gives you the relevant codes, help and simulators. This also allows you to submit apps to the App Store, and Apple take 30% of the revenue for your app (you get the rest). Alternately, there are companies that will develop your app, for a fee, and do the rest of the process for you.

Remember, your app must be approved before it appears in the App Store, so be sure it comes within all of the rules before paying for membership.
